Pop's Beef Brisket - Bub And Pop's (Washington DC)
All of the Philly-style subs here are bomb, but there's one that tugs at our hunger strings in particular: "Pop's Beef Brisket." The slowly braised brisket gets piled atop a bread roll with apple-horseradish cream, 5-year aged gouda cheese and veal jus. You can add a fried egg for an extra buck if you're feeling extra gluttonous, but FYI, the "whole" size rings up for $18.
