Be Careful With Drinks And Ice Cream

You were probably already on high alert for things like burgers and fried chicken, but you may not have stopped to think about the places that are perhaps the most unhygienic and unsanitary in the entire restaurant.

We're talking about the soda and ice cream machines. Think about it... have you ever seen them being cleaned? Do you know how many drinks and desserts they use them for every day?

The most recent reminder of this lurking danger was from a guy working at a McDonald's in Louisiana. He noticed that no one had been cleaning the ice cream machine (a task that his supervisor apparently never asked the employees to do) and decided to do it all day. To his horror, he found all kinds of dirt and grime inside, which you can see in his Twitter pictures.

The same thing goes for the soda machine, which can accumulate a ton of mold and bacteria over time. Although his Twitter confession cost the guy his job, his warning serves to remind us all to avoid making the same mistakes next time  we go out for fast food.
