Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico hard, that hasn't stopped us from keeping it off of our list. Established by Christopher Columbus in 1493, the former Spanish colony is rich with history. Wander around Old San Juan before stopping at Castillo San Felipe del Morro, the 16th century citadel.
