What NOT To Do When Dining Abroad

France

We all know that the French take their food very seriously. This holds true for salads as well: if you find that the lettuce leaves are too big to fit in one bite, don't cut them into pieces using a fork and knife. Instead, it's considered polite to use your utensils to fold the lettuce into a more manageable size. Otherwise, you might risk insulting the chef by suggesting the salad wasn't prepared properly!
