What Ingredients You Have Available

You can spend hours perusing recipes online and dreaming about all the delicious things you could make, but when it actually comes time to make something, the truth is that you're limited to what you can find.

If you have a well-stocked grocery store near you, this may not be a big problem, but it's best to confirm ahead of time that you have access to everything you need before it comes time to buy the ingredients and start cooking.

Seasonal fruits and vegetables, items that might go out-of-stock easily, and any non-standard ingredients that your recipe might call for will be the things to look out for the most. If you'll need to make a trip to any specialized stores (such as international food markets or wine shops), it's also a good idea to make a note of their opening days and times, so you don't end up waiting until the day itself only to find out they're closed.
