Opening Night

Because he apparently hadn't had his fill of testing the gullibility of the internet, Oobah decided to have a grand opening of his "restaurant" before revealing the truth. He bought cheap ready-made meals and completely transformed his shabby backyard to make the "false reality" last as long as possible once the guests started showing up.

He didn't charge guests anything for the food, claiming the night was for a feature on TV, but he certainly put them through quite a bit of confusion. Everything from the atmosphere to the service to, of course, the supermarket food they were served would have sent up countless red flags.

Apparently, though, everyone either kept their doubts to themselves or wrote the weirdness off as somehow acceptable for a quirky five-star joint...because Oobah and his friends who helped pull the scheme off made it through the entire night without getting found out.
