Tjoruhusid - Isafjordur, Iceland
Often cited as one of the best seafood restaurants in Iceland, Tjoruhusid is a family-run business that only serves the freshest catch of the day. There is no set menu, but you can expect to see things like halibut, cod, pollock, salmon, rainbow trout, wolffish, redfish, etc., all prepared according to the chefs' inspiration. If you prefer to choose what you eat, go for lunch and order à la carte. Otherwise, definitely reserve for one of the two dinner services, where you get to fill up on an amazing all-you-can-eat buffet of fish soup, fish specialties and sides. The service is widely appreciated, and the atmosphere is distinctively local. A definite must if you're ever in Isafjordur. (Note: It's typically open from April-October.)
