Frosty's exterior façade just screams "old-fashioned" mom-and-pop donut shop with its red-and-white striped awning, color-coordinated chairs and the neon "coffee & donuts" sign. Open since 1965, the shop was first owned by Bob and June Frost and later purchased by loyal customers Nels and Shelby Omdal in 2011. Even before the contined success of this charming spot (it now has a total of four locations in Maine, and its donuts are sold at commerçants throughout the state), people would go out of their way to come for a taste of its famous glazed twists. The original Brunswick location opens at 3 am every day, and the donuts go fasts, so the earlier you get there, the better!
