Durian

Durian is native to Southeast Asia, but you can find it in Asian grocers in the US and even some Whole Foods Markets. Once you get past the spiky exterior of the fruit, the most noticeable thing is the odor. This is definitely a stinky fruit, but the taste doesn't match the smell. Ripe durian is sweet and creamy, with a texture similar to sour cream. It's best to eat this fruit fresh, or baked into numerous delicacies.
