El Modelo Mexican Foods - Albuquerque, New Mexico
Almost everything on the menu at El Modelo in Albuquerque, New Mexico is under $10 and can feed you for days. The acclaimed restaurant originally started out as a tortilla "factory" run by a woman named Carmen Garcia. She eventually turned the operation into a popular take-out restaurant (there are a few tables for outdoor seating), known for its tortillas, tamales, sopapillas and other New Mexican dishes. Under different ownership today, the food hasn't lost its delicious touch.
