This decade also saw the rise in popularity of Greek yogurt. Thicker than other yogurts, many variations were introduced into the North American market by trusted dairy brands in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Usually made with low-fat or fat-free milk, Greek yogurt was hailed as a healthier alternative to regular yogurt, but now we realize that it actually has fewer vitamins—though it does have a higher protein level.
