Jolly Green Giant

Green Giant started off as the Minnesota Canning Company in 1903. Before their gargantuan mascot become "jolly," he started off as a caveman clad in bearskin, inspired by a dark story by the Brothers Grimm. Now dressed in foliage and painted green, the giant is a far gentler presence, said to protect the crops of the Minnesota River valley. He's become a cultural phenomenon, with his own museum and 55-foot fiberglass statue.
