Sun-Maid Raisin Girl

The original bonnet-clad "Sun Maiden" was a girl named Lorraine Collett Peterson from Fresno, California. She was asked to model for the painting in 1915, after being seen drying her signature black curls in her parents' backyard. Peterson passed away in 1983, but her youth lives on in Sun-Maid's classic packaging.
