6. Schedule time to prepare or cook food.

This is more important than you’d think. As parents balance work and never-ending childcare duties, it’s easy for time to slip away. Make the time to cook food ahead of time so it’s easier in the long run. Quinoa is great to make weeks or months ahead, throw into quart-size freezer bags, and leave them in the freezer. When you’d like a side of quinoa to go with your meal, just empty the bag in a bowl and microwave for 2 minutes. Quick and simple!
