One of the easiest ways to make sure your turkey stays moist is by brining it. The salty solution gives the bird flavor and helps it retain moisture during its long cooking time. Make sure you brine wisely, though! Use a brining bag and keep the turkey in the fridge on the lowest shelf to avoid it dripping and contaminating over foods. Put the brining turkey in a shallow pan to catch any spillings, just in case. Though it contains plenty of salt and sugar, brining solution won't protect your turkey from harmful bacteria, so it should be kept at 40 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
