Champagne and Baklava
Sweet, flaky crust and layers of nuts—there's nothing quite like baklava. And champagne's bubbles are more than capable of meeting it halfway. The Middle Eastern pastry is made with aromatic orange blossom syrup, which would be a great complement to sweeter champagne with a similarly fruity aroma. Not to mention, baklava has a dense texture from the layers of phyllo pastry, and champagne can cut the richness with its acidity.
