Fresh Fruit

As well as providing a natural sugar boost, fruits are packed full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Some fruits that keep for a good amount of time in a non-refrigerated environment include bananas, apples, pomegranate, cranberries, apricots, citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruit, clementines), kiwi, pears and plums.

Just be sure to store certain fruits separately: kiwi, banana, apples, figs and pears are among fruits that release ethylene hormone, which can speed up the ripening process of other fruit.
