- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 3 finely chopped sticks celery
- finely chopped parsley
- pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup pot barley (125 mL)

- 1 cup gingersnap cookie crumbs (about 9 large cookies)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

- 2 Pkg (each 8 oz/250 g) softened cream cheese
