No-Cook Cherry Flavored Fluffy Frosting

This is a take-off of the famous Crisco,s Fluffy Frosting
- 2/3 c. Crisco brand shortening
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 t. salt
- 1 T. almond extract
- 1- 2 pound bag of powdered sugar (7 1/2 cups)
Fruit Crisp Topping

This is the same topping you put on Cherry or Apple Crisp
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. rolled quick oats
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 t. cinnamon
- 3/4 t. nutmeg
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
White Currant Jam

There are two variations to use for making this
- 1 c. currants rinsed and taken from stems
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. water
Homemade Dinner Rolls

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water with a whisk
- 1 envelope yeast
- 3/4 c. warm (110-115 degrees)
- 2 1/2 c. biscuit mix
- 1 T. sugar
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- extra biscuit mix for kneading onto
Cindy's Pumpkin Pie

Some people just don't like Pumpkin Pie
- 1-16 ounce can pumpkin
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1/4 t. grated ginger
- 1/4 t. grated nutmeg
- 3 slightly beaten eggs
- 1-5 ounce can evaporated milk (2/3 c.)
- 1/2 c. orange juice
- 1-non-baked pie crustj
Hungarian Fried Cabbage and Dumplings (Haluska)

This is a good hearty favorite of mine I ate while growing up
- 1-grated head of cabbage
- ( small chopped onion if desired)
- 1/4 c. butter
- DUMPLINGS:
- 6 slightly beaten eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1-cooked potato or mashed potatoes
Homemade Macaroni and Cheese

A variation of cheeses make a good macaroni and cheese
- 8 ounces or 1 1/2 c. uncooked macaroni
- 2 T. butter
- small chopped onion
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 c. milk
- 8 ounces of chopped cheeses
- (1/2 t. optional garlic powder)
- salt and pepper to taste
- TOPPING:
- 4 T. butter
- 1/2 cup finely ground crackers
Homemade Catalina Dressing

This can taste better than store-bought because you can add or subtract according to your taste
- 1-c. prepared ketchup
- 1-c. sugar
- 1/2 t. paprika
- 1/2 t. dry mustard powder
- 1/2 t. celery seed
- 1/2 t. onion powder
- 1/2 t. Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 c red wine vinegar
- 1- c. olive oil
Creme Brulee (Custard)
