Mom's Meatballs

Perfect with white rice or on a meatball sub... Many ways to enjoy my sweet n sour meatballs.
Ingredients
- Meatballs
- 4 lbs Lean hamburger
- 1 lrg Green pepper
- 2 lrg onions
- 1 tsp Garlic salt or 1 clove of fresh garlic chpped
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 4 tbsp. Ketchup
- SAUCE
- 1/2 bottle of honey (125mls)
- 1/2 bottle of BBQ sauce (any brand) (125mls)
- 1 bottle of VH Sweet & Sour sauce

Preparation
Step 1
Sauce... Mix all ingredients of sauce in a slow cooker and let simmer on low for 1 hour. Stirring occasionally
Step 2
Mix all ingredients for meatballs together. If too wet add more rolled oats. Roll meatballs into a ball (size of a golf ball). Place in oven in a shallow pan (cookie sheet) at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until brown.
Step 3
Let meatballs cool for about 10 minutes then place in sauce in crockpot and let simmer for another 1/2 hour. Stir gently to make sure sauce covers all meatballs. Serve and enjoy!!

Looking for an easy snack or party appetizer? These little beef pockets are a pinch!
Ingredients
Dough:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- Water
Filling:
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 lb ground beef
- A pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup tomato sauce
Method
- Mix flour, sugar, salt, milk, and water in a pan, and mix until you form a dough.
- In a saucepan, heat a splash of olive oil and add the onion. Cook on medium-high until onion has softened.
- Add the ground beef, and add the salt, water, and tomato sauce. When the meat has browned, remove from heat.
- Dust a flat surface with flour, and roll out the dough into a flat sheet.
- Use a ramekin or cup to cut out circles.
- Add a dollop of beef-tomato mixture to the center of each circle.
- Pinch the dough into a little pocket.
- Bake in the oven at 350° F for 15 minutes.
