The purpose of this diet, just like for all other low-carb diets, is to eliminate sugar. When our diet contains a lot of carbohydrates, our body uses sugar to produce energy. However, when there is no sugar at its disposal, the body uses accumulated fat and arrives at the so-called ketosis stage when the body begins to melt fat. So, to lose weight, you must eat healthy fats and proteins and consume fewer carbohydrates. This diet lasts for a week, and can be continued for up to two months, with the consent of your doctor. Keep reading for a sample 7-day eating plan.


Day 1:
For breakfast: eggs and tomato
For lunch: feta cheese salad, olive oil and chicken meat
For dinner: meatballs, vegetables and cheddar cheese

Day 2:
For breakfast: goat cheese, basil, tomatoes and eggs
For lunch: spinach and an egg
For dinner: cheddar cheese, vegetables and meatballs

Day 3:
For breakfast: a fruit or vegetable milkshake, to taste (without sugar)
For lunch: shrimp, avocado and olive oil
For dinner: Parmesan, broccoli and turkey salad

Day 4:
For breakfast: omelette with spices and avocado
For lunch: guacamole, a handful of walnuts and yogurt sauce with raw vegetables like carrots or celery
For dinner: chicken, light ricotta cheese and steamed vegetables

Day 5:
For breakfast: an omelette with cheese and tomatoes
For lunch: the same lunch on the fourth day
For dinner: mushrooms, eggs and salad

Day 6:
For breakfast: omelette with ham and vegetables
For lunch: white cheese such as ricotta, ham and a handful of walnuts
For dinner: beef steak, salad and eggs

Day 7:
For breakfast: eggs with mushrooms
For lunch: beef tartar and tomato salad
For dinner: grilled chicken breast salad and eggs

Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough (homemade or store bought)
  • Shredded cheese
  • Pizza sauce
  • Cured ham, shredded
  • 4 eggs
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Fresh basil

Method

  1. Roll out the dough
  2. Use a small bowl to cut the dough into rounds
  3. Add shredded cheese
  4. Place in oven on an oven tray afr 10 min at 355°F
  5. Put each dough round into a ramekin
  6. Add 1 tbsp pizza sauce, a handful of shredded cured ham 
  7. Break an egg into each pizza
  8. Top with sliced cherry tomatoes and a basil leaf
  9. Place in oven for another 15 mins at 355°F
  10. Garnish with parsley and a pinch of pepper
  11. Serve and enjoy!
