Savory Smoked Salmon Lasagna

Step 1

Make the bechamel sauce.

Heat the milk and set aside.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat, add the flour and whisk to combine. Gradually pour in the warmed milk, whisking constantly.

Season with the salt, pepper and nutmeg, and continue whisking for 10 min., until the bechamel easily coats the back of a spoon. It shouldn't be overly thick. Remove from heat and add the lemon zest. Stir to combine.

Cover the pan with a lid and set aside.
