Chili
We know there are lots of 30-minute recipes for chili out there, and generally speaking, they don't taste half-bad. But the real-deal, ultimate bowl of chili that's been simmered for at least 45 minutes is completely out of their league. Don't just dump the ingredients and cover, however. First, you need to make sure to brown the meats and veggies well until almost caramelized. This is also when you should start seasoning, stirring in one spice at a time and not all at once. Doing this allows for each flavor to develop properly. Then taste and add more of what you need while the chili is simmering. And remember, when it comes to seasoning chili, less is NOT more.
