What Do People Wear at Oktoberfest?
Visitors don't have to wear traditional costume at the festival, but since the 2000s, the trend has developed and has been a hit with everyone involved. Men tend to wear lederhosen and ladies opt for dirndl — so everyone looks like they've stepped out of a European fairytale.
The most expensive dirndl in the world cost a whooping 100,000 € (105,280 $)! It took 300 hours to put together, and was made from wild silk and embroidered with 150,000 Swarovski stones ... so we're not too surprised with the price tag!
