Remember what you order

When servers or food runners arrive at your table with hot plates on their arms, remind yourself of what you ordered and pay attention when they're calling out the dishes. The sooner everyone is served, the hotter the food will be, and the quicker your server can take any extra requests (more sauce, another drink order, etc.).
