Consolidate your extra requests

Instead of making your server run back and forth fetching more water/extra napkins/drink refills, try to make all of your requests in one go. When your food arrives, consult with your fellow diners to see who needs what and let one person inform the server, rather than have multiple people shouting demands at once. You end up waiting less, and your server won't have to make multiple runs to your table.
