Homemade Red Cabbage
Whether you prefer it by itself or on top of a Buddha Bowl, red cabbage is yummy and super easy to make.
Ingredients:
1 head of red cabbage
1 apple
1 tsp sea salt or Himalayan salt
Instructions
Prepare the cabbage leaves and wash thoroughly. Cut into thin strips.
Grate the apple into a small bowl
Place the red cabbage into a bowl and add the salt, massaging it into the cabbage with your hands. Let soak for 30 minutes.
Add the apple.
Pack the cabbage and apple into a sealable mason jar. Add water so that everything is submerged and seal tightly.
Let ferment for 2-6 weeks.
