Use Dried Pasta with Care

If you are using dry pasta sheets, make sure you check whether they are no-cook or if they require a quick boil before being layered in. Dried pasta absorbs lots of liquid, so this will affect the water content of the final dish. Also, don't overcook the noodles if they require pre-cooking. They will continue cooking in the oven, so you don't want them to come out goopy and structureless.
