Give the Sauce Some Extra Love

Ragu, (the meat part of the lasagna) should be rich, flavorful and tender and is generally made with ground beef, but clever cooks know that the secret to the most delicious, melt-in-your-mouth ragu is actually leftover roasted meat that's finely chopped and added to the sauce. If you aren’t a huge fan of beef, swap it out for a pork-based Italian sausage instead. It’s rich fatty flavor will satisfy everyone.
