Spaghetti and Meatballs

This spaghetti and meatballs recipe is a simple, comforting dish that lets the slow cooker do all the work. Juicy, tender meatballs are simmered in a rich marinara sauce, ready to be served over your favorite pasta for a family-friendly meal.

Ingredients (serves 6):

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 jar (24 oz.) marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 lb. spaghetti
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  2. Add half of the marinara sauce and 1/2 cup water to the slow cooker. Gently place the meatballs on top of the sauce in a single layer.
  3. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the meatballs, making sure they are covered.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the meatballs are fully cooked and tender.
  5. About 15 min. before serving, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.
  6. Drain the pasta and serve with the meatballs and sauce. Top with fresh basil or parsley for a burst of color and flavor.
