This creamy, spicy fusion combines the bold heat of Buldak ramen with the velvety richness of carbonara. Quick, indulgent, and packed with flavor, it’s a go-to dish for instant ramen lovers looking to elevate their meal. Be sure to work quickly when adding the egg mixture to prevent curdling!
Ingredients (for 1 serving):
1 pack Buldak spicy ramen
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 large egg yolk
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp unsalted butter
Optional toppings: chopped parsley, additional Parmesan, or a soft-boiled egg
Instructions:
Boil the ramen noodles in a pot of water for 3 min. or until tender. Reserve 1/4 cup of the cooking water, then drain the noodles and set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the egg yolk, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper until smooth.
Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the drained noodles and reserved cooking water to the skillet, tossing to coat. Reduce the heat to low, then pour in the carbonara mixture, stirring quickly to avoid scrambling the egg.
Stir in the spicy sauce packet from the ramen until evenly combined. Adjust the heat level by using less sauce if preferred.
Transfer the creamy, spicy noodles to a serving plate. Garnish with parsley, extra Parmesan, or a soft-boiled egg if desired.
