Fruit and Veggie Leftover Smoothie

Before your fruits and vegetables go bad, you should turn them into a delicious smoothie. Here is a basic recipe that you can use with your leftovers.

 

Ingredients (serves 2):

  • 1 cup main fruit (e.g., apples)
  • 3/4 cup additional fruit or vegetables (e.g., berries)
  • 1/2 cup additional fruit or vegetables (e.g., banana)
  • 1/2 cup liquid (e.g., fruit tea, juice, or plant milk)
  • Spices like vanilla, cinnamon, or chili

Instructions:

  1. Peel, core, and chop the fruit into small pieces.
  2. Place the fruit and vegetables in a blender and add your choice of liquid to ensure the smoothie is not too thick. The amount of liquid needed may vary depending on the type of fruit you have chosen.
  3. Blend well and season to taste with your choice of spices.
