Replace your weekend Bloody Mary cocktail with this Blood Orange sangria. It might not have a tomato taste, but it is vibrant and delicious with a tinge of sweet raspberry coming from the blood oranges that helps to balance out the zing.
For this recipe, you'll need: 1 bottle of red wine, 16 1/2 ounces of sparkling water, 1 2/3 ounces Grand Marnier cognac, 2 blood oranges cut into slices, the juice of two oranges and 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar. Mix all the ingredients together (except the sparkling water) and let steep for 6 to 12 hours in the fridge. Add the fresh sparkling water when serving.
