This recipe is exciting and unexpected in taste with the bittersweet aroma of grapefruit, the sweetness of strawberries and orange-flavored cognac and a hint of cinnamon to spice it all up.
For about 2 liters of Sangria, you'll need: 1 liter of white wine (Chardonnay works well), 16 1/2 ounces of sparkling water, 2 grapefruits, 1 carton of strawberries, 1 cinnamon stick, 3 1/3 ounces Grand Marnier cognac and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Mix together all the ingredients (except the sparkling water) in a large glass pitcher and let sit for several hours in the fridge. Add the fresh sparkling water when serving. You can also make this recipe with a homemade syrup made of white wine and sugar, which will up the flavor profile even more.
