26. Mistaking foods to be healthy when they're not

Don't be fooled by the words "organic," "low-fat," "low-carb," or "diet," and don't eat foods that are deemed healthy but really aren't. Smoothies, for example, are not necessarily bad for you, but not all are made equal. Some can be loaded with calories and sugar. Same goes for granola bars, açai bowls, energy bars, diet sodas, etc. Your best bet is to check nutritional information or make your own food from scratch so you know exactly what you're putting into it.
