Loukoumades - Greece

Loukoumades are little round donuts drenched in honey and various other sweet toppings, such as powdered sugar or nuts. They're a popular snack in several European countries and are known as lokma in Turkish and luqmat al-qadi in Arabic. The sticky, sweet delicacy is prepared in a similar way to American donut holes, with the dough balls being fried 'til golden brown in hot oil, but then served coated in warm honey, crushed nuts or even roasted sesame seeds. Try this version with honey and chopped walnuts for a delectable breakfast or afternoon treat.
