If you are low on space in the kitchen, move some stuff right out of it. Many of us store things like wine and liquor next to the fridge, but a hot and steamy kitchen is actually a far from ideal place to store alcohol. Unless you do most of your entertaining in the kitchen anyway, consider moving your drinks, serving glasses and paraphernalia like bottle openers to your main living space. You’ll free up space in the kitchen and make it easier to serve guests when entertaining. Do the same with special occasion dishes or kitchen items you only use once or twice a year.
