Big "Al" Italian - Fontano's Subs (Illinois)

There's nothing earth-shattering about the Italian subs from Fontano's in Chicago, Illinois. The menu options are pretty standard for other sandwich shops in its genre, so what's the big deal? Consistency and excellence. The subs here are available in six different sizes (up to 3 feet long!) and are just consistently good! The "Big Al Italian" has mortadella, cotto salami, genoa salami and provolone and is complemented by mayonnaise, lettuce tomato and traditional Italian dressing. You can also add hot or mild peppers, onions, pickles, olives, cucumbers, banana peppers and three types of mustard (brown, yellow and honey). We recommend adding the works!
