This local sandwich shop in Anchorage is popular for its consistent quality, friendly owner and monstrous MVP signature sandwich. This beast is made with your choice of 1/2 lb ("the rookie") or 1 lb ("the pro") of meat and cheese, specifically beef brisket that's been corned and dried, then slow-cooked and broiled into homemade pastrami with a "secret family recipe" dry rub, spices and seasonings. It's basically a spin on the traditional cheesesteak sandwich, accompanied by homemade creamy white cheddar cheese sauce and topped with homemade Italian relish on a sturdy roll. Our stomach is expanding just looking at it!
