Gingered Christmas Fruitcake

Is this a fruitcake or a work of art? This recipe is super moist, thanks to the chopped figs and dates as well as some ginger wine to give it a boozy soak. The wow factor really comes from the made-from-scratch royal marzipan icing, topped with beautiful rustic decorations. The pine cones and cinnamon sticks give the fruitcake such a wintry feel, making it almost too pretty to eat!
