Mince Pies

Mince Pies, or Mincemeat Pies, are a traditional Christmas dish from England, where they are often served sprinkled with icing sugar. Despite the name, these pies don't contain any meat, but are actually stuffed with a dried fruit and citrus mix soaked in alcohol. The tartlets are encased in a flakey, buttery crust and are deliciously rich. Try them out for yourself with this recipe.
