You're Not Their Only Customer

One annoying customer habit is to try and get the server's attention when they're with another table. If you see that your server is taking an order or speaking with a customer, wait until they're finished before calling them over. If they gave you their name, you can use it to politely get their attention. Whatever you do, don't snap your fingers (period) or wave at them while they're taking care of another table. And don't make them run back and forth with repeated requests—try to get them all in at once.

On another note, unless your server seems to have disappeared into thin air, try to avoid requesting things from other servers, who have their hands full with their own tables. Instead, ask them to send your server over as soon as possible.
