Mrs. Murphy's Donuts — Southwick, Massachusetts

Mrs. Murphy's in Southwick, Massachusetts probably makes some of the best crullers and apple fritters in all of New England, and it has the cult following to prove it. A no-frills donut shop, it was opened in 1976 by Earl and Rose Murphy, who have been running the show ever since. The size of the donuts is no small joke either—expect giant donuts and even some UK-style scones in the mix. The owners' ancestors immigrated from Ireland, so they've snuck in a bit of their Irish heritage for extra charm.
