If you're in the habit of drinking coffee, then try drinking one right before working out. Coffee's stimulating and energizing qualities are great for a pre-workout boost, especially considering that it's low in calories too.

If coffee is not your thing then try a hot chocolate or herbal tea, which can also help satisfy the need for a quick snack. Just be sure to consume a warm drink 30 minutes before exercising, otherwise you might feel uncomfortable while working out.

These quick and easy chicken quesadillas are the perfect, last-minute family dinner!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup of chives, chopped
  • 1 tsp. of Mexican spice mix
  • 4 Tortillas
  • Cheddar
  • Salt, to taste

METHOD:

  1. Put shredded chicken breast, tomato sauce, chives, and mexican spice mix in a bowl and mix together.
  2. Lay out the tortillas. Place a slice of cheddar in the center, and cover with the chicken mix.
  3. Fold up tortillas, and heat in a frying pan until golden.
  4. Enjoy!
