Breads

  • Store-bought sliced bread: 6 months
  • Bakery bread: 6 months
  • Store-bought bagels: 6 months
  • Frozen bread dough: 1 year
  • Breadcrumbs: 6 to 8 months
  • Homemade baked rolls: 2 to 3 months
  • Homemade unbaked rolls: 1 month
  • Tortillas: 3 months
  • Pita bread: 3 months
  • Naan: 3 months

Tip: One of the most efficient ways to freeze bread is to wrap it in two clear plastic bags and seal it tightly (zip-top freezer bags are good for this or vacuum sealing). To thaw, you can leave the bread out on the countertop at room temperature in its packaging.
