Dairy Products

  • Milk: 3 to 6 months
  • Hard cheese: 6 months
  • Soft cheese: 6 months
  • Yogurt: 1 to 2 months
  • Butter: 6 to 9 months
  • Margarine: 12 months
  • Ice cream: 2 months
  • Cottage cheese: 1 month

Tip: Butter is one of the easiest dairy products to freeze. Ice cream is meant to be frozen, obviously. But FYI, you may notice a change in taste and texture in the other food items on this list or a decline in quality.
