Cassell's Hamburgers - Los Angeles, California

Los Angeles certainly has no shortage of excellent restaurants, but Cassell's Hamburgers takes the cake for best patty melt in town and maybe even the country, depending on who you ask. Something about the freshly ground beef patties, house-made mayonnaise, melted cheese (Cheddar or Swiss) and grilled onions on toasted rye bread is just magical. And the staff still uses all of the owner's original equipment, including a crossfire broiler, grinder and press.
