For those who are looking for something deeply traditional with a modern flair, Tamale Co. is Central Florida's reference for handcrafted gourmet tamales. Opened as a food truck in 2012 by a husband-and-wife duo, the business and its tamales have since garnered an adoring local following. Following an unsuccessful take-out venture in 2017, the team has finally set up shop in Orlando's up-and-coming Hourglass District, where Tamale Co. has joined the ranks of other popular local food entrepreneurs.
