It Offers Clean Eating Options, not Diet Food
While Trader Joe's should not be considered a health food store, it does offer grocery shoppers an abundance of items that facilitate clean eating habits. Like most grocery stores, if you want to find good-for-you options, it's best to stick to the perimeter of the store, where whole, fresh foods are stocked. You can find plenty of pre-washed, pre-chopped veggies, which reduces your food prep time significantly, and they're ahead of the game with ready-to-use bags of cauliflower rice, healthy cooked frozen grains and other convenient options that while not labeled as diet food, can be very attractive for anyone who is sticking to a specific diet. What's more, the products on offer represent a balanced diet—or a little bit of everything in moderation. So you still have plenty of treats to choose from!
