Don't go buy a bag of Skittles...here we're talking about eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables of all colors. Make sure you're serving fresh produce at every meal, whether it's blending frozen fruit into breakfast smoothies, adding chopped veggies to a huge lunch salad, or steaming them to accompany lean proteins at dinner. When cooking your veggies, stick to low-fat or no-fat preparation methods. Boiling, steaming or poaching are all excellent low-fat methods that will save you tons of calories. And don't be afraid to make your produce the star of the meal (whole-roasted cauliflower, we're looking at you).
